Capra Waterfall

The Capra Waterfall, also called Iezerului Waterfall is located on the southern slope of the Făgăraș Mountains near the 2000 m altitude mark, near Transfăgărășan. The water of the waterfall comes from the Capra Lake (2241 meters).

The Capra waterfall has a drop of more than 40 meters and, due to the high water flow, the waterfall freezes only during extremely cold winters. A large number of tourists can admire it in any season from the bridge in front of the waterfall.
