Capra Lake
The Capra Lake is a glacial lake on the southern wall of the Făgăraș mountain, at a height of 2230 meters. This is where the Capra stream springs, one of the Argeș affluents.
Lake Capra is 45 minutes away from the Bâlea cabin, and near it are two monuments that were erected in honor of those who died in the avalanches.
The risk of disastrous avalanches is real.
